
BMW has announced that it is recalling certain models of the 2010 X5 and X6 support activity vehicles manufactured between December 14, 2009 and December 16, 2009. They stated that in the upper right area of the windshield, bonding may be insufficient over a length of approximately 50CM.
In the case of a rollover, the stability of the roof could be affected increasing the risk of injuries. BMW has not yet provided a remedy or an owner notification schedule for this campaign. Owners may contact BMW at 1-800-831-1117.

It is important for car companies to handle recalls with good faith towards their customers. Otherwise fixing the problem could become a public relations nightmare. BMW has a reputation for making safe vehicles and it must make sure it upholds this reputation by showing the public they still consider consumer safety as a number one priority. I think BMW’s are excellent automobiles. I hope they get through this recall by rectifying their mistake and doing the right thing by their loyal car buyers.
