Triumph has announced that they will be recalling certain models of the 2008 through 2009 Thruxton motorcycles. The installed front brake caliper bracket bolts may be to short, reducing thread engagement of the bolts into the brake caliper bracket.
The brake caliper may become loose or seperated resulting in reduced brake efectiveness, loss of control of the motorcycle, increasing the risk of a crash. Triumph will replace these bolts. The recall is expected to begin during December 2008. Owners may contact Triupmh at 1-678-539-8782.
