Goodyear and American Pacific Industries have announced that they will be recalling a limited number of tires. Goodyear is recalling 5,300 Dunlop sport 3D tires in size 225/50R17 with DOT number DM40 2TTR, and Dunlop Winter Sport M3 tires in size 275/35R18 with DOT number DMBL 2J8R.
These tires were manufactured between Sept 4, 2005, through May 17, 2008. NHTSA said the tires fail to conform to the tire strength requirements of FMVSS 109.
API is recalling 4,738 of its Spector Advanta SUV radial light truck/suv tires in size P255/70R16. These tires were manufactured between Feb 3 and Mar 1, 2008 and carry DOT numbers 3EEzC0508 through 3EEc0808. A thin area of rubber could lead to a poor bead seat and air loss.
