Honda Motor (China) is to recall 425 cars exported to China to fix power steering hose problems, quality officials said on Tuesday.
According to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ), the recall covers 425 Acura 06 TL sedans manufactured between June 2005 and September 2006.
The recall will start on March 26, the AQSIQ said. Neither the agency nor the company mentioned whether there have been customer complaints.
The sedans involved were found to have defects in their power steering hose, which may cause hose cracks and fluid leaks. Serious leaks would cause safety trouble, the company said in a statement on its website.
The company will offer free replacements for customers and install heat resistant jacket outside the hose.
