Dongfeng Motor Co Ltd, a mainland 50-50 joint venture between Nissan Motor Co and Dongfeng Motor Corp, will recall 4,945 Nissan Teana sedans from today, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said.
The government agency said in a statement on its website that the recall is due to welding problems in the mufflers.
The cars to be recalled were made between April and June 2007.
