Ford Motor Company is recalling 470 thousand Mustangs from model years 2005 through 2008 because of potentially faulty airbags.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the front passenger airbag might deploy too forcefully for small unbelted passengers.
No injuries have resulted from this issue so far.
A spokesman for Ford says they want to update the software that regulates that airbag as soon as possible.
Affected owners will be notified of the recall by mail.

It was an easy recall, took like 20 minutes at the dealer. All they are doing is re-flashing the control module for the air bag. It has to do with a 5th percentile female being seated in the passenger seat, fully forward and being unbuckled. If that doesn’t sound like your asking to get hurt, I don’t know what does.

Nice to see they’re fixing things for those people who are too stupid to wear their frickin’ seatbelts.
