German carmaker Daimler, which has joined a push to convince US motorists to drive diesel cars, said Tuesday it was recalling an unspecified number to fix an engine part. A spokesman in Stuttgart said 2007 M-Class, GL-Class and R-Class cars as well as the E 320 Bluetec model were affected.
He declined to confirm a report in a German weekly, Automobilwoche, which quoted the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) saying about 9,000 cars were involved.
A crankshaft sensor in the cars could cause a loss of power and in some case the engines would not start.
Currently only 6 per cent of cars sold in the United States are diesel powered, with many shoppers convinced hybrid power from Japanese makers offers better fuel savings than the thrifty diesels.

As I am fond of any information on Mercedes Benz, the entire material on this blog has hooked me. I am surprised that I can read even the very fresh information on this blog. It’s surprising how any day there’s somewhat sensational to see in the blog. The details in the visual styling of this blog are to be appreciated. To my feeling, the author is cool and has explored a lot on the subject. I like the fact that no matter what thing is said is always true and not hoaxes. I love the established reach this site owns in terms of its visitors from around the world. It’s lightening fast how fastly the blog loads, it’s almost right away. Quick reference is what I enjoy, how solely in one page one can take a look and choose what to read.
