Volvo Trucks of North America recently announced that they will be recalling certain models of the 2008 Volvo VT. Volvo stated that on certain trucks, the bolts that attach the steering gear to the frame may not have been tightened to the specified torque. As a result, loss of steering control could occur increasing the risk of a crash. The recall will cover VT’s with the manufacturer date of 7/2/07 thru 9/21/07. Dealers will tighten the bolts free of charge. The recall is is expected to begin on or about December 3rd 2007. Owners may contact Volvo Trucks at 1-800-528-6586.
