Chrysler is recalling 125,000 Dodge Avenger and Chrysler Sebring cars from the 2007 and 2008 model years.
The automaker said there’s a problem with a cooling fan motor connector that could lead to engine fires.
Chrysler says it has received reports of 17 fires since july that could be related to the condition. There have been no injuries.
About 102,000 of the vehicles are in the U.S., with the remainder in Canada, Mexico and Europe.
The recall only covers avengers and sebrings with 2.4-litre engines.

17 fires is plenty a lot! Hpwever, I don’t quite see how a fan connector could relate to this if there’s nothing wrong with the engine…
