The Bugatti Veyron, or officially Bugatti Veyron 16.4, is the fastest car in the world today.
The car has been measured at a two-way average top speed of 252.95 mph (407.08 km/h) at the Volkswagen Ehra Lessien test track in Germany. The 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) time has been announced as 2.5 sec!
Not bad for a road car!

The Most Expensive
At a price tag of over one million dollars, the fastest car in the world is also the most expensive! No doubt it’s luxurious, extremely luxurious. It’s a Bugatti, after all! Volkswagen, the marques’ owner, has done a wonderful job reviving its spirit.
Everything about the car is unconventional. The exhilarating speed, the outrageous quality, the overall allure! In the next 5 years, 300 of this exhilarating machines are planned to be produced.

The engine wouldn’t be different, would it? It’s a 1,001 Horsepower W16 - 8.0 Ltr, with a monster torque of 1250 N·m (922 ft·lbf). Despite all the technology, the car is up to just 5.9 mpg. That’s at city traffic, not necessarily the ideal Veyron’s environment. At 250 mph, things get a little bit better. Try and you’ll realize it!
The car wasn’t built just to try to keep mammoth power under control. This is engineering at its best!
